The Kilargo IS8020si is a heavy-duty automatic door bottom seal that can be face-fixed, semi-rebated or fully mortised into single-action doors one seal, three mounting options. The spring-loaded mechanism drops the silicone gasket to the floor as the door closes, sealing gaps of 315 mm against fire, smoke, sound, draughts and dust.

What It’s Used For

The IS8020si is specified for heavy-traffic fire, smoke and acoustic doors hospital corridors, school classrooms, hotel rooms, theatres and commercial entries wherever a robust, self-operating under-door seal must survive constant use.

Its three mounting styles make it equally suited to new doors (fully mortised for a concealed finish) and retrofit upgrades (face-fixed with the door still hung). Combine with Kilargo perimeter seals for a complete certified doorset.

Fire tested AS 1530.4 / AS 1905.1. Fire tested to AS 1530.4 (the Australian standard fire-resistance test) in accordance with AS 1905.1, the standard for fire-rated doorsets. In plain terms: this seal has been proven on proprietary fire door assemblies, so it can be specified on fire doors without compromising the door’s fire rating.Certified GVYI.R26629, GVWZ.R26629, GVWZ7.R26629. Carries independent product certifications (GVYI.R26629, GVWZ.R26629, GVWZ7.R26629), giving certifiers and building surveyors documented evidence of compliance.Smoke tested AS 1530.7 / AS 6905. Holds medium-temperature (200C) smoke leakage approvals to AS 1530.7, compliant with AS 6905 on proprietary door assemblies. This is the test the BCA relies on for smoke doors it verifies the seal keeps hot, toxic smoke from leaking past the door for the required 30 minutes.Smoke sealing BCA/NCC Specification C3.4. Conforms with Building Code of Australia (NCC) Specification C3.4 smoke sealing requirements. Smoke not flame is the biggest killer in building fires, and C3.4 sets out how door gaps must be sealed so escape routes stay clear of smoke.Acoustic tested AS 1191 / ISO 140-3 / ISO 10140-2.
