Unlike a standard spring latch which requires a lever handle to retract the roller bolt compresses automatically as the door closes and springs into the strike plate without any handle operation. The door holds shut without locking, making it ideal for going outside without being locked out, while the euro cylinder provides deadbolt security when needed.
