The Kilargo IS8090si is a heavy-duty automatic door bottom seal that can be face-fixed or semi-rebated to single-action doors. A spring-loaded mechanism drops the silicone gasket to the floor as the door closes, sealing gaps of 315 mm against fire, smoke, sound, draughts and dust, and lifts it clear the moment the door opens.

What It’s Used For

A workhorse drop seal for fire, smoke and acoustic doors in hospitals, schools, hotels, offices and public buildings. The 15mm maximum gap capacity makes it forgiving on older doors and uneven floors where smaller seals won’t reach.

Face-fixing suits retrofit compliance upgrades; semi-rebating gives a flusher finish on new joinery. Pair with Kilargo perimeter seals (e.g. IS7080si) for a complete certified doorset.

In plain terms: this seal has been proven on proprietary fire door assemblies, so it can be specified on fire doors without compromising the door’s fire rating.Certified GVYI.R26629, GVWZ.R26629, GVWZ7.R26629. Carries independent product certifications (GVYI.R26629, GVWZ.R26629, GVWZ7.R26629), giving certifiers and building surveyors documented evidence of compliance.Smoke tested AS 1530.7 / AS 6905. Holds medium-temperature (200C) smoke leakage approvals to AS 1530.7, compliant with AS 6905 on proprietary door assemblies. This is the test the BCA relies on for smoke doors it verifies the seal keeps hot, toxic smoke from leaking past the door for the required 30 minutes.Smoke sealing BCA/NCC Specification C3.4. Conforms with Building Code of Australia (NCC) Specification C3.4 smoke sealing requirements.
